Herouldmede Gaymaid 2nd (Megan)
One day we noticed that Megan had a large growth between her toes that we were very sure had not been there just 3 weeks before when we'd had her in the shed to be DP'd (pregnancy diagnosed) so we brought her back in and asked the vet to come and have a look.
Harry from Belmont Vets in Bromyard came out and said that it was the same problem as her grandmother (Caroline in previous pages) had been treated for and that as it was a common problem in Herefords it needed to be removed. Luckily we were having the hoof trimmer out a couple of days later so Harry - along with the student vet James - came back and successfully removed it. As you can see it's a relatively easy procedure but boy did she bleed! She's back with the herd seemingly non the worse for her ordeal.
