MedicAL PROCEDURES

Over the past few years we've had a few cows/calves who have suffered from some form of serious medical problem or another.

We strongly believe that if a cow is still young enough to  have many more calves then it's well worth both the effort and expense to do everything in our power to save her.  Likewise a young calf, if it's likely to make a full recovery and go on to be a productive member of the herd or in the case of a bull to grow to become a strong steer - we will without hesitation call in the vet for full medical advice and will willingly agree to any operation they recommend.

We managed to take a few photos during some of the operations, mainly for our own records, but thought that there may be a few of you who might find some of them of interest.  Therefore please be aware that some of the pictures are quite graphic with scenes of open wounds and blood.
